XL-PT15-21CTR is a surface-mount infrared phototransistor (PT) in 3215 package (3.2×1.5×1.0 mm). It adopts transparent encapsulant with a peak sensing wavelength of 940 nm and a sensing wavelength range of 400~1100 nm (covering visible light to infrared spectrum).
This device is an NPN-type phototransistor. Its output collector current varies linearly with the intensity of received infrared radiation. It provides mA-level output current (typical value: 0.3~1.0 mA), capable of directly driving logic circuits or MCU I/O ports without an external amplifier circuit.
It supports SMT reflow soldering and complies with RoHS environmental standards with Moisture Sensitivity Level MSL 3. It is an ideal low-cost receiver component for applications such as photoelectric switches, light barriers and smoke detection.
